Seeing this I broke into a run and continued running over bricks on the sidewalk, and dodging automobiles, which were doing ambulance duty until I reached my store on 4th and Mission streets.

Why it's here: A lost place: his store at Fourth and Mission burned in the 1906 fire, and with it “every paper, book and record” he had. He ended his account: “I AM GOING TO STICK WITH ’FRISCO.”
